Deb Shaver, Clinical Director
Deb opened Back ‘n Motion in 2004, bringing Low Intensity Laser Therapy to London, with myself and only one employee.
Today, Back ‘n Motion has grown to a team of 14 dedicated Professionals who all share the vision of a facility where the patient’s needs truly come first.
Becky Brown, Office Manager
Becky is a certified Sigvaris Fitter for compression solutions, certified Laser Therapist, and certified to deliver the Break Free Stop Smoking Solution at Back ‘n Motion, along with her duties as Office Manager. She is energetic, compassionate and always has a positive encouraging attitude. Becky takes pride in her client’s continued success and inspires them to reach their healthy lifestyle goals. “Today, do one thing to take care of yourself. Then, do it again tomorrow!”
Raffy Koundakjian, Registered Physiotherapist, CAFCI, MCP
Raffy has been a Registered Physiotherapist for 14 years. He is also a certified Acupuncturist is registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario. Raffy has had advanced acupuncture training in Beijing China and has trained directly under Dr. Sona Tahan. He has special interest in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders, providing manual therapy and personal interactions on each visit.
Derek has been a Registered Physiotherapist since 2001 graduating from Western University. He has a special interest and knowledgeable background working with the elderly specializing in falls prevention, osteoporosis (Bone-fit certified), balance re-training and general mobility to restore independence. He has extensive experience in rehab following post surgeries including hip & ankle fractures, total joint replacements, general deconditioning & neurological disorders (Parkinson's, Strokes). He is an authorizer for the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care for mobility devices (walkers/wheelchairs/scooters).
Paige Simpson, Physiotherapy Assistant
Paige is the Lead Physiotherapy Assistant at Back ‘n Motion. Her strong knowledge of bracing, compression stockings, stretching and exercise supervision make her a valuable member of our team. She is currently the lead Athletic Trainer for the London Lightning Basketball team. Paige has a diploma in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapist Assistant from St. Clair College. Paige is a certified Laser Therapist, and certified to deliver the Break Free Stop Smoking Solution.
Meghan is a Registered Kinesiologist with the Ontario College of Kinesiologist. She completed her Kinesiology degree at Laurier University in Waterloo, ON in 2015. She graduated with a minor in Chemistry and Psychology. Meghan has a passion for health and fitness. She enjoys helping people achieve their goals through rehabilitation back to the activities they love.
Dr. Linda Oswell, B.Sc. (Hon), D. C., F.I.C.P.A.
Dr. Linda Oswell is a 1988 graduate from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. She has pursued postgraduate education most notably in the field of Principles & Practice of Chiropractic Pediatrics with the I.C.P.A., specialized in Torque Release Technique and most recently Laser therapy.
She operates her full time practice in Aylmer & is enthusiastic about expanding her horizons and bringing her knowledge base to Back ’n Motion.
Philip Calautit, RMT
Phil has been a Massage Therapist since 2003. He has worked in various settings in London and Toronto. He is enthusiastic about spreading the awareness of massage therapy and its effectiveness in helping patients achieve optimal health.
Amy Jowahir Amy graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2014. Since then she has helped clients in Toronto, Calgary and London rehabilitate injuries, reduce pain and improve quality of life. Amy is driven by a passion for healthcare and uses evidence-based treatments to achieve her clients' goals.
Andrea Goos Graduated from Darcy Lane Institute in 2012 and shortly after gained her registration. She has a passion for helping people reach their health goals in a natural hosistic way. Her massage techniques have a focus of deep tissue with a variety of techniques including trigger point therapy and myofascial release.
Ryan Snow, C. Ped (C) (Certified Pedorthist Canada)
Ryan graduated from UWO with a B.A. honours in Kinesiology in 2010. He went on to complete the Diploma in Pedorthics program at UWO in 2013. Ryan has been a practicing Canadian Certified Pedorthist for over four years and is confident in his ability to treat his patients. He enjoys helping his clients to regain control of an active lifestyle through the use of orthotics and proper footwear education.
Lauren Phillion, CPed (Pedorthist)
Lauren has been working in the Pedorthic Industry since 1994 and has the following certifications;
- Canadian Pedorthic Technician Certification (1998)
- American Pedorthic Certification in 1998
- Canadian Certified Pedorthist designation in 2004
Lauren is very excited to work in a team environment and to bring her extensive knowledge and experience to Back ‘n Motion.
Glenn Cronk M.Ed.(C), RP
Glenn is an experienced psychotherapist and case manager, focusing on assisting clients manage: Recovery from significant accidents and trauma for both the client and his/her family, Adjustment to injury, Depression, Anxiety, Pain management, PTSD and Mild to Moderate Brain Injury. He has also developed a team of rehabilitation professionals including occupational therapists, kinesiologists, and personal trainers to help clients recover from injury with individualized treatment plans meeting the client’s specific needs. Glenn developed couple’s counselling skills and experience as a necessary service filling the needs of clients where injury highlighted relationship challenges.
